This man. This man has been a beacon of light during some of the most difficult circumstances in my life. He’s held strong and faithful even in my worst emotional fluctuations. He’s strong, compassionate, loving, and kind. He remembers every little detail, and actually listens to what I mean (not just what I say).
I met Taylor on tumblr about 10 months ago, while I was trying to recover from the deepest and darkest depression I’ve ever faced. He’s helped me find myself again. He’s Lifted me up and taught me it’s okay to love, and more importantly to trust.
After a few months of online chatting, we decided to meet in Chicago (halfway between our homes hundreds of miles away). During that weekend visit, we both knew that our online flirting was much much more than we thought, and we began an official long distance relationship. He was worth it.
In August of 2014, the third time seeing each other in person, we got engaged in Canada (and almost got married). The picture above was taken that evening. He’s now moving across the country to be a 4 hour drive away, rather than a 19 hour drive away. He’s sacrificing so much, just to start over and begin a new life with me.
He just celebrated his birthday yesterday. A country away from me. And I Thought there was no better way To express my gratitude towards him than here on tumblr. Where we met, and where we fell in love.
Taylor, I love you so much. Words can’t describe what you mean to me and how important you are. I’m so proud of every little thing you do.
Happy birthday, and I can’t wait until the day I can celebrate with you in person ifeintyoufaint
